About Injectables

Injectable treatments represent a bridge between traditional, at-home skincare and invasive surgical procedures, offering a minimally invasive pathway to restorative beauty. By utilizing advanced, biocompatible formulas, these treatments work beneath the skin’s surface to restore volume, relax wrinkle-causing muscles, and stimulate the body’s natural regenerative processes. Unlike surgery, which requires incisions and significant downtime, you can receive injectable treatments in the span of a lunch break, and allow you to go about the rest of your day with natural-looking, progressive enhancements.

Neuromodulators (Anti-Wrinkle)

Neuromodulators are specially formulated injectables that interact with your own neurotransmitters to relax targeted facial muscles. By temporarily blocking the release of acetylcholine—the chemical responsible for muscle contraction—these injectables soften the dynamic lines caused by repetitive expressions like squinting or frowning. (1) A common misconception about neuromodulator injectables is that they always result in a “frozen” or expressionless face. When administered by expert injectors like the professionals at Depew Plastics, the results are designed to smooth away deep creases and fine lines while preserving your face’s authentic character and expression.

Botox®

As one of the most recognizable names in aesthetics, Botox is prized for its ability to treat dynamic wrinkles such as crow’s feet and forehead lines. Results typically start to emerge within three to five days after injection, reaching their peak after two weeks, and lasting approximately three to four months. Botox is formulated from a purified protein that temporarily blocks nerve signals to specific facial muscles. (2) By reducing the activity of these muscles, the skin above smooths out, significantly softening the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. This neuromodulator also serves various medical purposes, including treating TMJ, migraines, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), and more!

Dysport®

Dysport is known for its unique ability to spread across a wider area than other neuromodulators, making it a popular choice for treating larger targets like the forehead and glabellar lines. (3) It often has a slightly faster onset of action, with many patients noticing a softening of their features just a few days after treatment. Similar to Botox, the results of a Dysport treatment can last between three to four months.

Daxxify®

Daxxify is one of the newest FDA-approved neuromodulators, featuring a proprietary peptide-based stabilizer (4) that strengthens its bond to nerve receptors for fast and lasting effects. While traditional treatments last three to four months, Daxxify can maintain its smoothing effects for up to six months or longer, offering unrivaled convenience for busy patients.

Scrotox

Scrotox is an innovative treatment for scrotal relaxation. It uses the same neuromodulator injectables as other wrinkle-relaxing procedures, but it serves to create a smoother, less wrinkled scrotum appearance.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that restore lost volume, smooth out static wrinkles, and enhance facial contours upon injection beneath the skin. (5) Unlike neuromodulators that target muscle movement, fillers address the lines that are visible even when the face is at rest, such as nasolabial folds or marionette lines. By reinforcing the structural support that naturally diminishes with age, fillers can help redefine the jaw, plump the lips, fill hollow undereyes, and lift the cheeks for an immediate youthful refresh.

Juvéderm®

Juvéderm is a comprehensive collection of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, each tailored for specific areas of the face. Because HA is a naturally occurring molecule that binds to water, Juvéderm provides immediate hydration and volume that looks and feels natural. Juvéderm products are powered by Vycross® technology, which expertly blends different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid, resulting in a smoother gel that provides natural-looking lifting and contouring while seamlessly integrating with the skin. Restylane®

The Restylane family of fillers uses XpresHAn Technology™ to provide flexible support that moves with your facial expressions. (7) This ensures that your enhancements look beautiful and natural whether you are smiling, laughing, or talking. Whether seeking to refine facial contours, reduce wrinkles, or achieve subtle lip augmentation, this family of fillers can be used to restore youthful volume and improve structural balance. Specific options like Restylane Lyft excel at cheek enhancement, while Restylane Silk effectively softens delicate perioral lines.

Biostimulators

Biostimulators represent a proactive approach to aesthetic health. Rather than simply applying temporary volume, these injectables trigger your body’s own collagen production, leading to gradual, long-lasting improvements in skin quality and resilience. (8) Biostimulators approach beauty from the inside out, resulting in firmer, more luminous skin that continues to improve for months after the initial treatment.

Sculptra®

Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) biostimulator that works deep within the dermis to replace lost collagen. (9) It is particularly effective for addressing wider volume loss in the mid-face, and it even has applications in non-surgical body contouring. By gradually increasing collagen levels, Sculptra offers a natural-looking improvement in skin fullness and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and folds.

Radiesse®

Radiesse provides both immediate structural support and long-term collagen stimulation. (10) Composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres, it provides an instant lift to areas like the jawline or hands, while simultaneously acting as a scaffold for new collagen growth.

Benefits

Injectables are highly safe, convenient, and versatile for a range of aesthetic applications. Some key benefits of these treatments include:

  • Dynamic Correction: Neuromodulators smooth expression lines while preserving your natural ability to emote and show authentic expression.
  • Structural Restoration: Dermal fillers instantly restore lost volume, define contours around the jawline and cheeks, and smooth deep static folds.
  • Regenerative Health: Biostimulators trigger long-term collagen production, improving skin thickness, elasticity, and luminosity from the inside out.
  • Comprehensive Aesthetic Harmony: You can achieve a full rejuvenation through a tailored blend of treatments that work in synergy to enhance your entire appearance.

Candidates

Ideal candidates for injectables are healthy adults who wish to address signs of aging or enhance specific facial features. Increasingly, younger patients are turning to “prejuvenation,” a preventative strategy that uses small amounts of neuromodulators and biostimulators to maintain skin quality and prevent deep lines from etching into the skin in the first place. During your consultation, we will review your medical history and aesthetic goals to ensure you are a safe candidate for treatment.

Personal Consultation

At Depew Plastics, we believe that personalized care is the foundation of world-class results. During your personal consultation, we will listen to your aesthetic concerns and perform a detailed evaluation of your facial anatomy, assessing skin quality, fat distribution, and underlying bone structure. Together, we will go over various injectable treatments, their benefits, limitations, and how they can apply to your unique anatomy and goals. Treatment

Preparation for an injectable treatment is relatively straightforward. We may ask you to avoid certain blood-thinning medications and supplements in the days leading up to treatment, and arrive for your appointment with clean, makeup-free skin. The procedure itself typically takes less than an hour. After cleansing the skin, we may apply a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort. This is not always necessary, as certain injections contain lidocaine, but it remains an option. Using ultra-fine needles or cannulas, our expert injectors precisely administer the formulas into the targeted areas, focusing on symmetry and smooth transitions.

Recovery is minimal, and you can resume most activities immediately. Some temporary swelling, redness, or bruising at the injection site is normal and usually resolves within a few days. We advise avoiding strenuous exercise and direct pressure on the treated areas for the first 24 to 48 hours to optimize your results.

While dermal fillers provide an immediate boost in volume, the full results of neuromodulators and biostimulators emerge progressively. You will notice a gradual softening of lines and an improvement in skin texture over the coming weeks, culminating in a refreshed, youthful version of yourself.

Cost of Injectables in Atlanta

The cost of your injectable treatment is as unique as your treatment plan. Factors such as the type of product used, the number of areas treated, and the total volume required will influence the final price. During your personal consultation, we will provide a detailed, all-inclusive cost sheet.

FAQ

Are injectable treatments painful?

The injectables are typically well-tolerated and described by many patients as a pinch or momentary bug bite. To enhance your comfort, we can apply a topical numbing agent or an ice pack before your injection.

Will neuromodulators make my face look frozen?

No. Our goal is to enhance your natural beauty, not mask it. By using precise dosing and targeting, we ensure you maintain your natural range of expression while enjoying smoother, younger-looking skin.

Can I combine different injectable treatments?

Absolutely. In fact, combining different injectables often leads to the most harmonious and comprehensive results, addressing multiple signs of aging in a single session.

How long is the recovery period?

There is no significant downtime. Most patients are back to their normal routine immediately, with minor swelling or bruising resolving within a day or two.
