Where will Dr. Depew place my breast implants?
In general, there are two options for breast implant placement: directly behind the breast tissue above the pectoralis muscle (subglandular placement) and beneath the pectoralis muscle (subpectoral placement). A third, less frequently used option is subfascial placement, in which only a part of the muscle covers the implant. Subpectoral placement is the ideal choice for most of our patients. Not only does it provide the most aesthetically pleasing result, but it also ages gracefully over time and does not interfere with imaging.
